The Protekt® Aire 6000 Low Air Loss/Alternating Pressure Mattress System with Cell-On-Cell Support Base features a one-way valve that will keep the air in the lower 4" of the cells in case of a power outage. This air mattress system combines both Low Air Loss and Alternating Pressure therapy methods to treat pressure ulcers stages 1-3. The alternating pressure method is where the air is alternately pumped on the 20 air bladders in 10-minute cycles to evenly distribute pressure through the patient's body; while the low air loss therapy keeps the user cool and dry by allowing minimal air to escape through the 18 small laser holes on the surface of the mattress. 

The Protekt® Aire 6000 Low Air Loss/Alternating Pressure Mattress System with Cell-On-Cell Support Base is protected by a comfortable, stretchable nylon fabric that is low-friction and has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties.
