Pediatric slings are specialty slings designed for use with children. This is a “hammock” style sling with added upper thigh support. Unlike the common split-leg sling, each thigh is supported individually and both thighs are kept close together by an additional secure loop. Other features include padded legs, removable head-shell, security belt, and pleasant nursery graphics. The pediatric sling is also available in Mesh for wet applications.
A replaceable headshell, security belt, and cushioned legs are included in the Pediatric Patient Lift Slings. With several points of connection, the pediatric sling provides enhanced safety and security. The use of head support allows for additional child care. I have used the mattress. Sometimes I feel like I'm laying on popcorn. The mattress seems to keep the head portion elevated. I sleep on my side so it's not as comfortable to have my head raised. There will come a time as my health decreases that I will need to have my head artificially raised and that I need some degree of constant motion to prevent pressure on my skin. I don't of course look forward to that day but I will be glad I have the mattress to rely upon
